I know they exsist, maybe not for the i7 exactly but the same socket as the i7 and they use the server version of i7 - dual quads ftw!:cool:

Nice find fella, I see it's got 2 x 8 x pci-e given there's not "that" much of a bottleneck on current cards it could still be the very expensive heart of a sterling system. way out of my reach but it's always nice to have something to aspire to

Its for the Xeon W5580 which is essentially the same as an i7 965.

yep, i actually have read on these forums for ages, i'm just too lazy and cheers for the welcome.

Anyway these'res billions of them on newegg.com. i was bored once and had a look to see what they have, and they have everything! i mean eerything imaginable!
