Help will my new x1600xt be no good

Hi i need some quick replies on this because i might be buying my computer tonight. I was sifting through a magazine and it was comparing computers and it (long story short) said that several computers were let down by the poor graphics performance of the LOW END x1600's in the computers. Now i was rather annoyed at this as it seems to say that the 1600 is the low end and then that would mean that the x1900 would be a mid range card. Anyways enough of my rambling... if i do get a x1600 it will be a oc'd i will mainly playing guild wars and oblivion maybe some fps' but will the card be up to it

Oblivion is a very hard game to play with alot of eye candy.
The 1600XT is up to any game, but not with everything max'd out.
If you can, you can try and get an X800XL or X850XT, as these give playable frames on oblivion.
Or get one of the newer 1K cards, eg 1800XT

it will be oc'd but i wont be playing oblivion with full eye candy just some also if it isnt very fast i've bought a crossfire board so i cud just add another and an 1800 doesnt seem to be so much better it only gets about 3 fps more

get an X800XL or an X850XT, they perform better than the 1600
and the 850 can do crossfire, but you need a crossfire edition card for that

Novatech doesnt sell the normal 850 but i've found it for an extra £15 thats fine, then i find that the crossfire edition costs double the price of the normal one so thats about £220 to crossfire it wheras i could buy two 1600xt oc em and buy about a gig more of ram

true, but all i was saying is that the X800XL performs better than the 1600.

ok i'm just thinkin in ways of what would be best value for me considering i've got a crossfire compatible mobo and it would probably be a bit to expensive to get a 850 crossfire edition

The 850 crossfire edition is only £50 more than the 850XT

But if you have the money then 1 1900XT or 1800XT would be a much better choice

two x1600's cost the same as an 1800 and there is only 3 fps difference between the two, but i can get 2 1600's for about the same price, and thy're over-clocked

but, if you get 2 1600's then there is no further upgrade path, get a 1800 then you can always add another later on

well i suppose but i've ordered one 1600 at the mo so i could just get an 1800 or i was lookin at a x1650 which seems cheaper than a x1600? although i cant find it on novatech or another site i frequent
