Hey. This is a site I'm working on for my guild. It's a work in progress. All comments and criticisms will be appreciated, don't worry about hurting my feelings lol.

Looks epic apart from one thing - the sidebar. Group it the sidebar up and then it would be pukka imo ^^.

From a site design perspective, i would say there are too many link menus, i count three very obvious ones, plus 2 sort of half menus. Don't get me wrong, its looks good, but i think you would be better to simplify the navigation.

Thanks.

Yeah, still playing around with all of the navigational stuff. Still got a lot of work to do on it lol.

The white stroke on the page title "News and Content" in this case, doesn't look right IMO. It makes it harder to read.

And maybe the forum bubble in the header on the top left should be a tiny bit smaller (if you think in comparision to the text).

Other than that, it is a top notch web design, and has great colours.

Looks nice,

I'm really not digging the spaces between the buttons on the left,

apart from that, likin' it!

Looks nice, agree with the point made by people about sidebar, but apart from that it looks nice.

What is this site for, like what is a guild?

In gaming terms, it seems to be another word for a clan :).

Your welcome :). Being into flight simulators I doubt there is much of a clan scene there, but wouldn't be surprised if I'm wrong XD.

There isnt much of a clan scene no, i do have some friends who i fly with online though.

However, i am a huge fan of COD4 and play that on xbox (when i have online membership) and will play online when i get my new pc

Also, any reason why google chrome thinks "online" is a spelling mistake?

I started playing CoD 4 online not so long ago and tbh I'm starting to get pretty good at it, although not very consistant. Managed to hit the 50 kills barrier (and did it with a 2 ratio at the same time) the other day but find it quite frustrating when I get owned sometimes, you know you shoot them before you yet they always get the kill...

Thanks for the comments, and as Underdog said, a guild is similar to a clan, generally orientated around MMOs.

Here's version 2: http://i39.tinypic.com/25exqhz.png still playing around with it.

KK, when im on there i will play with you. on Xbox 360, i always sniped and am pretty good at it too. In one online game my highest kills is 190 ish, shipment domination

Nice, much prefer the news&content title. Also, i see the reason for spacing in sidebar now, just need to fill the gaps

OMG. Completely forgot about this thread. Would've helped if I knew about this a little while ago :x

Okay, basically, when I built my new computer, when copying over the files from the old computer I forgot to back up my art folder, so I had an old version of that folder with older work in it. As a result, I lost the psd file to the work you see above. Which sucked.

So, I basically started again, building from the old psd which basically just had the background. I've changed a lot though, so have a look at the new design lol.

Both the old and new site designs look awesome, love the colour scheme :D

Is this going to be for Aion?

Overall it isn't a bad design but I'm a typical web designer when it comes to the 'boxy' layouts like this, my number 1 rule is always alignment, for example the 'news and content' text, I would personally align this to the left so it's vertically in line with the content below it.

I'm also not too keen on the black section right at the top, the guild name could be included in the header with the girl, moving the 'latest forum posts' to a menu on the left showing the latest 3-5 posts in the menu simply as a list instead of having recruitment in a mnu, recruitment could simply be a page...

There are other bits that could be changed that other people have pointed out, just abit of a tidy up is needed really but overall I think the design is appropriate for a guild.
