I purchased a Novatech X70 from the clearance section just last week but having 2 major problems

My current operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit build 7100
It has a 512mb 9800m GT
Realtek HD audio

Here are the 2 major problems, i cant get it to display via the HDMI port and i cant get digital audio output from the sound card

VIDEO
Whenever i connect my LCD TV to my novatech X70 via the HDMI port at the back it detects my tv but i can get no image on my lcd tv no matter what resolution i change it to. I have installed the latest 9800m GT drivers from nvidia's website and clevo's website but it hasn't fixed the problem

AUDIO
I have installed the latest Realtek HD audio drivers from clevo's site and realtek's site. I've connected my laptop via 2 differant Toslink to 3.5mm Optical Audio Cables to my philips HTR 5000 amplifier but cant get any digital audio through it

Ive also tried it on windows 7 32bit and windows XP 64 bit but these still dont work

any help would be greatly appreciated as i really want to keep this laptop but need to connect to my HD TV and amplifier

Are you on the right channel for your tv :D? Plus try checking your thingy bar at bottom right for a nVidia program, should be of some assistance.

For the digital audio output, have you right clicked on the little speaker / volume icon in the taskbar, and changed the settings in playback devices to be Realtek Digital output? Also you will need to change this to HDMI when using HDMI.

As for the HDMI, have you refreshed the display by pressing FN + whichever key has the refresh display icon on?

Yes i'm on hdmi on my TV and i click the right button on the desktop and select nvidia control panel an configure it through that, the funny thing is dvi works with a dvi to hdmi adaptor but i dont dvi allows for audio to got to the tv

yes ive selected digital audio, there is no hdmi audio icon as i dont think the 9800m gt has this option ithink according to the manual

yes i have tried that but nothing, but as i said a dvi-hdmi adapter works with my lcd tv. if i could just get one or the other to work because i could just use hdmi for video and audio or the dvi adapter for video and my amplifier for audio
