I have a Shuttle XPC, an old one that i've had for ages. Anyway i did a bit of overclocking to push the 2.00Ghz Intel P4 chip to 2.66Ghz...one question though..

Using the Stock watercooling that comes with Shuttles, at that temp will it stay cool enough? Wasn't sure.

Just use a cpu temperature program to keep an eye on them, or check in the bios like I did :).

not a bad idea, but what temp should i get concerned at?

Anything over 70 C you should start panicking afaik, but tbh I'm not entirely sure. The answer is here somewhere, you just have to look :). Plus I think temperatures depend on each processor, so google might be your friend here.

I've herd the old p4's can get to 80-90 degrees befor they start to get unstable?

Shuttles don't normally come with watercooling so I assume you have a SDxi ?

Water cooling in shuttles used to be an elite modders past time because of there small form factor
it was hard to fit everything in required for watercooling so it was uber cool to mod a shuttle to water cooling.

Been there done that myself and it made a notable difference knocked a good 25degs off over air cooling.

As to the capabilites of a Sdxi Shuttle with Shuttles own watercooling I would think you need to google and see if there is any articles out there to tell you its abilties.

In all honesty I am always unconfortable with any temp exceeding 65deg and tops 70deg

Overclocking & temp go hand in hand so the faster you go the lower you want that temp to maintain stability... to me 40-45deg is a good temp & 45-50 I define as upper max when overclocking.

Yes a CPU can take more heat but you won't get the overclock to go with it.

If you have the Shuttle with the I.C.E cooler then you should be Ok - they were actually very good coolers. If you are worried then you could change the stock 92mm fan with something that pushes more air - but obviously that would add noise...
