Revo 420 Pro - general advice

The plan is to buy the Revo 420 Pro for someone to take to university with them. In fact we will be getting two of them so we'd like as much advice as possible. We will install XP ourselves as we've had some experience with that, but we know nothing about laptops.

So is this a reliable one?

Is it suitable to take to uni

What problems might we face with it?
