If it is only $100 for the professional version, count me in!

I hope that those prices are fairly reliable but we will have to wait and see if it is going to be that price or if the UK is going to put on some rediculous pricing strategy!

They messed up so badly with Vista that hopefully they decided to get it right this time and sell at a nice price :plot:

I hope they do bring it out with various levels again, Ultimate sounds coolest imo (it's the ULTIMATE XD) so I'll be up for getting that later :).

add vat to the us price so about £75 for the upgrade in uk prices if these are correct then there retailer markup/profit margine to think off so add another £20 to £30 still a bargain compaired to vista i wonder what full retail will sell at?

There is no upgrade path from XP AFAIK - only Vista :(

Isnt vista ultimate still £249.99 for retail?? When this compares to $279.99excl for america??? Wouldnt that mean that it would be around the £120 mark for windows 7 basing it on this??

These are all upgrade prices right? What about the prices to buy Windows 7 outright?
I have yet to see them.

I think upgrading prices should be involved with using the beta as well :P

I think a sensible price would be a good move on the part of Microsoft. There are so many people using pirated/cracked Windows OSs and this is more likely to make them buy legit.
