Pc monitor as TV?

I was just wondering if i could use a computer monitor as a tv as i'd rather use my monitor as both a monitor for my tv and be able to plug my xbox in aswell

if you wanted to watch tv on your monitor you would install a tv card into your pc.

if you wanted to use your xbox on the monitor you would need a vga box like this one.

if its an xbox360 you can get a vga cable so you could connect it to your monitor.

thanks for the quick reply and could u change to the xbox and pc quickly or would you have to pull out wires also how cheap do they get as i dont want to be spending lots as im gonna get a hd tv soon and hook up me comp and me xbox 2 dat

at home i use my 360 with a VGA cable on my monitor. i use a KVM switch to swap between the two. if you used a vga box i am guessing you would be able to do the same.

KVM switches were designed so you could use 2 computers on one monitor, keyboard and mouse.

i am sure you will be able to find a cheaper VGA box, maybe have a look on Ebay.

if you get a tv card you could connect the xbox through that. i am not sure what the quality would be like though.

i have a logic 3 vga box. u have an input for pc and an output to the monitor. connect ure av devices then press a button on the top to swap between pc and av device.
