When downloading MS products be they O/S or simply hotfixes/patches it is always best to use IE. it's the only way MS have of getting anyone with half a tech head on to still use IE at all

Lol yeah, its a good feeling when it starts and you dont hear a bang, although all night i was worried that would happen. Yeah, novatech members helped, but if you look at the questions, i guessed the answer right but didnt want to do it incase it was wrong lol.
Anyone know what size DVD disk i need to burn Windows 7 RC1 installation onto?

The first time I built a PC, it wouldn't boot and I took it to a friend, and we worked out the new CPU was knackered and I plugged the serial port in the wrong way.
My mate had a spare CPU which got it working, but I had the knackered CPU to take back, but on the way home, I bent the CPU pins :( and the shop wouldn't take it back, even thought it was broke before.
I learnt make sure you plug the leads in the right way and look after the CPU.
Thought this was some years back it was a 486

Lol, the bit i had the most trouble was installing the HSF, it is pushpins, and its my opinion, but what a stupid idea. Why arent screws any good, you push in diagonal, but you push one end, and the other pops out, and then you have to hold both in firmly and twist top at the same time, with two hands lol
the rest wasnt too hard
