Hiya,
Does anyone know of an external usb hdd that gets its power through the USB cable, rather than through a seperate power lead?
Limited on power points!

Hi scharity,
We sell a number of harddrives that do not require additional power, these are known as 'bus-powered'
here (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?FRE-21843) or here (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?WD-ML800U)
These draw the required power by utilising 2 USB ports.
The other option is to use a flash drive, these tend to be physically smaller and only require a single port. When plugged in these are shown in 'My Computer' as a removable drive and can be used in the same way.
