View Full Version : Novatech or vista?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum but not sure who to ask at 4 in the morn.
I am having some issue with the novatech site. I want to purchase something and everytime I click on the checkout tab I get a blank white screen as if its about to load but it never does. I have bought a lot from the site in the last week and have not seen this before. I have tried using firefox and IE but its the same on both.
All other parts of the site seem to be functioning but as soon as it tries to go secure it just wont load the screen. The only think I can relate it to is earlier this evening I installed IE8 and its security updates. Or it could just be the site.
Could someone try to go to the checkout with a selected product and tell me if they are having any issues. Would be most helpful.

i can get to the checkout np, i'm on vista 64 but haven't updated it for ages >.>
Then clearly something has gone very wrong at my end. Just wish I had the slightest clue what. I am really suspecting the IE* install and whatever updates it slammed on here with it.
Any ideas anyone?

I found that firefox doesnt allow me to go to checkout.
I found that ie8 does but after the last update it now doesnt!
I suggest downloading google chrome as that works a treat. Its faster than ie8 and firefox. I do prefer firefox but chrome does have its advantages. ie8 is just awful so I wouldnt about using it!

I upgraded this Laptop yesterday to IE8 and now I keep getting lockups in IE when on this site, Could be coincidental, just running updates to see if any better , if not I will dump IE8

Safari so goodie! Safari 4 is out now, although I dislike Macs, it seems a nice browser. I don't have any issues with IE8, Firefox or Safari.

windows 7 RC and FF 3.5 Beta 4 works fine for me
I do use Firefox thats the odd thing. I only installed IE8 to see if it has improved. It does not matter what browser I tried to use IE, FIrefox, Chrome, Opera none of them let me access the checkout. In the end I had to go and pick up what I wanted from the cardiff branch. (nice store by the way Looks like a gallery of modern art)
I have no Idea what has caused the problem but its very annoying as I am buying on a regular basis at the moment.

Wait before you do anything, just use the Windows 7 RC 64bit. If you pre-order windows 7 on July 25th, you may get 50% off. The reason for the may, is because in the US if you pre-order it, Windows 7 Home Premium is only $50. But in Europe. There's been some retarded problems with the EU about IE8. So it'll probably only be the full version in the UK. But whatever the case, just use Windows 7 RC, it'll save you a lot of money.
