wide screen TFTs

I have seen (not from N unfortunately) a retailer offering a Xerox 19" wide screen TFT for £100 +vat which sounds awfully tempting.

now is there a chance that the picture on games etc could look squashed or get borders, or does the odd shaped resolution work ok? I dont do much gaming but am a big fan of google earth and MAME/arcade emultation

they have regular 19" screens of the same brand for slightly more.


anyone got or used one? what are your thoughts?

wide screens work perfectly, i used my mates one for a while, and it was great.
Looks crisp, nothing gets squashed and there were no boarders

there's generally widescreen resolution in games, otherwise the image will be a bit stretched (really though, you wont notice much difference)
