I picked up a used Pioneer A07 drive a little while ago, (has different shape faceplate from the popular 10<x> models but I think its the same) not able to do the firmware update for it, Pioneer's site is vague on details on how to do it.

just get a message that cant find drive. I have it set to slave and a Panasonic DVD ROM set as master, they both work fine, and the A07 is a brilliant drive, quiet, never had one spoiled disk, but it is a little slow.

any thoughts?

Hi asteroid,
My only concern with supplying an updated firmware for this drive would be that you don't seem 100% sure on the model number.

There are a couple of different 'A07' drives available, you need to ensure you are selecting the correct drive. A bad flash could leave you with no drive at all

Hope this page helps
