Hiya guys.
I have been asked to buy a printer for one of my directors at work (eek) and i am stuck. I havent purchased a new printer in like 3/4 years, as my lexmark is great and hasn't broken.
The Must haves are: Inkjet, Scanner, Photoquality print.
The printer will mainly be a document printer, but will sometimes printer photos, so the quality needs to be reasonably good. I ahve looked through the website, and they all look pretty much the same to me.
I told him to get a uber lexmark, but he said they are too expensive.
any help would be great :D
cheers

some nice looking printers.
What would you say would be best? is the most expensive, most expensive for a goof reason, or is it just because HP added a few digits to the end? lol
stupid printers... told him to get a lexmark again
lets face it. Sorry about this. Lexmark are ******.
HP and Canon are very good and reliable makes.
Also so far I have used many makes and the most easyest and simplest and best and everything else i can complument goes to HP printers.
I at home have a cannon printer, a HP printer and a lexmark. Here at work we have Lexmark, connon. and at my mates they have a canonn.
I prefure the HP printer out of all. Very good print quality and ver quick at printing and you can use it with out reading up on the 100+ page manual. lol HP FTW.
Unless he wants to be cheap and in that case get a lexmark. he will soon regret it lol.

fair enough... maybe its just a personal choice.
I have had trouble with HP's so i wont buy them for myself.... but as its not for me, nor is it my money, then i will go for HP :D
what do you recommend most out of those 3 you put down GN?
well the only one i would recomend is the type i have at hime, but i cant remember wat serise it is. ill look later and tell you. (At work at the mo  ) what bad thing happened on ur hp???
My wife likes canons, she does art work and prints it out on em, they are better quality and cheaper to run than epsons (she teaches art btw) **wifes general opinion** !! but thats good enough for me. The stuff she prints is good quality,
But... pass on the scanner - scanners a scanner unless you get a cheapo one.

BOOOOO'
This one scans ur paper as the same time prints :D
Also, you dont need it to be connected to ur pc when you print or scan.
ooooooo :P
Also, you dont need it to be connected to ur pc when you print or scan.
I've heard rumours its possible to disconnect oneself from PC's before, don't believe a word of it personally - i've tried.

ok, 1, if your data is on the pc and you dont have this printer connected up. then you can use a flash media device or something like this to plug in and it reads the info off and prints.
also it can scan and print off what you scan. (like a photo copyer) etc... and you can make it 100% or fit to page or print off with colour or black and white. etc...
I agree with GN Lexmarks are terrible, I spent most of my working day at my last job, "babysitting" our Lexmark C910 Laser Printer, it was so unreliable.
