My son's novatech computer has developed a problem when playing his favourite game (Microsoft trainsimulator). When he clicks the shortcut, the computer restarts and when the Microsoft error message send comes up and we send it and it says:
Error caused by ATI Graphics Driver: no specific solution found

Thank you for submitting an error report.

Problem description

An unknown error occurred in ATI Graphics Driver, created by ATI® Technologies, Inc.

We tried finding a new driver on the internet but couldn't find the right one. The computer is nearly a year old and my son (he is disabled) needs the computer to work. Any help appriciated. Thanks.

Try this link here

Catalyst 5.12 with Control Panel

http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1276

As the Catalyst from 5.13 is only integrated with Catalyst Control Center and which needs Microsoft .net 1.1 or 2.0 installed. As a machine of about one year old , im guessing it is not installed.

I find Microsoft .net and ATI CCC annoying as **** and ill try to stick with the usual ATi Drivers with Control Panel for as long as i can.

The drivers on the ATi site are only new ones that needs Microsoft .net 1.1 framework to work.

Hi all,
I found this by Gwendes and this link got the Graphics card working again and outlook.
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/def ... olderID=27 (https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27)

I went to Windows XP drivers and software, then to Motherboards and ATI Graphics and downloaded both drivers for DSL. One of them worked.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
