Thats pretty cool to be fair! Out of curiosity, they just take it without asking etc or were you informed? As you are pretty good with what you do have you considered maybe attempting to make money out of this?

I have an olympus e520 with a 25mm pancake, 14-45mm, 40-150mm all on a four thirds system so actual focal lengths are double that on say a nikon or canon. Very good camera! Saving for a D90 so if your interested ;)

The missus will be buying me a 400D or 450D for crimbo... can't afford it before then :(

The 400D is a great option; just get the single 18-55 IS lens kit and get out and about. When you decide what you like to photograph you can then decide on another lens.

Christmas isn't far away - only 5 months and 1 week ;)

I know, I know. I saw a 400D with the standard lens for £330 in London Camera exchange about a fortnight ago but couldnt scrape the money together. I was gutted. Especially as by the time I did have the money it had sold :(
