well from what i gather.. this is where it began..
i used 'windows update' to install CCC 9.4 when it was released, once installed there were a few things which didnt work 'eg skins'
when i tried to install CCC 9.5 it wouldnt let me install it and my system crashed.. so my thoughts were.. oh it 'might just be 9.5 being ghay'
i installed an update for windows the otherday, .net something (can remember what its called exactly, which contained a programm i am assuming was made in C++ 2005/08 which is not compatible with 2005/08 Microsoft Visual Studio mfc80u.dll or mfc80.dll module and since then every game i try playing locks up, so my first thoughts were.. ok im gonna uninstall and reinstall CCC.. but then
NOPE crash, wont let me uninstall CCC at all, tried again.. wouldnt let me, tried manually deleting the files, but nope wouldnt let me, even after setting all permissons, wouldnt let me, tried fixing CCC but wouldnt let me.. this isnt a problem with catalyst control centre there is obviously an error in the C++ runtime somewhere, i tried downloading a fix which was recommended by windows but that actually made other programms fail, and i dont want to uninstall random things as i dont really know which programm it actually is casuing the error, tried doing a system restore but it never work.. i think im out of options
should i just take this one up the rear and nuke the HDD and reinstall everything? (there goes my sunday)
if you need to know the exact file names etc ill look)

uninstalled microsoft server sq 2008< and MS C++ 2005 and everything along with it
once i had done so CCC uninstalled fine and 9.6 installed fine.. sseems to have worked so far.. i guess that this is a little log for future reference now should anyone have this little problem..
