Rite my dad is just getting internet out at his house and he wants to basically be able to use his laptop anywhere and the internet anywhere in the house (he's on adsl btw) and as he does a lot of bill writing he wants to bung a printer under the stairs. So basically i need 1 of 3 things a router with a usb connection so i can plug the printer into (could this give problems with drivers e.t.c) 2. get a wireless adaptor (haven't seen a wired one anywhere) and link it to the router which is about 2 cms away or 3 get a printer with a built in ethernet port (these seem expensive on top of the router) so can someone point me in the direction of one of these things.

Thanks in advance

Sorry for double posting but is this a wireless router or just a print sever? http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=23274019873&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=89143

I get the impression that that is just a print server with some ethernet ports so you can connect wired machines to your wireless without muiltple wirless adpaters. I may be wrong though.

Basically it is a printer server with a 4 port switch attached.

You can connect your printer via USB ports, your PC's (Wired and Wireless). However you cannot connect to your broadband and would need a seperate Modem / Router.

You could try one of these.

I have a Canon iP5200r PIXMA printer which is wireless. It can be printed to from anywhere via my wireless router. Excellent printer for Photos & documents. It has a cassette & a top feed. Well worth the money. Really quiet too. :D
