Q. Why is only one IDE port in working on my 945 motherboard?
A. The 945P motherboard sports THREE IDE :
1 x ATA 100/66/33 connectors
2 x ATA 133/100/66 connectors
The 2 x 133 IDE are controlled by a RAID controller. This needs to be enabled in the BIOS and configured in the secondary RAID BIOS.
See this post (http://forum.novatech.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=74) for installation guide.
The RAID manual for the 945 chipset can be found here (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/pdf/945P7AA_RAID_MANUAL_EN_V1.0.pdf)
