Hi guys

I have an L51ii0 Laptop and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to disable the touchpad. I use an external mouse, and keep on nudging said touchpad. I've looked in Device Manager and Control Panel, but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Try installing the Synaptics driver which conveniently does NOT come packed in with the laptop, then you should be able to change the settings or disable it.

There are several ways:

1) Hold down the FN key (bottom left corner of the keyboard) and while doing that tap the F9 key. This acts as an on/off toggle.

2) As Vertigo suggests install the synaptics touchpad driver then disable it in the options. I haven't actually tried this but it may be worth a go.

3) Go into device manager, look under MICE AND OTHER POINTING DEVICES - the touchpad will either be listed as a PS2 mouse or a synaptic pointing device. Right click on it and click on disable.
