Every time I visit a search engine and get the results from a search, when I click a link in the search results the address of that site is first show, then redirect appears and then I get directed to another search engine.
What's going on and how do I stop it?
Any suggestions? It started happening right after I installed IE: 7

sounds like you have spyware, a decietful piece of software the changes your home page to something it chooses
get yourself Spybot search and destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org and put on all updates and this will get rid of any nasties from your system
dont bother with IE7, it has Tabs and some nice features but you are better off with Firefox, its a more robust, expandable browser with tabs and other nice features. get it from http://www.getfirefox.com

Firefox all the way. With every windows install, I quickly rename iexplore.exe in Program Files\Internet Explorer and all instances of it in WINDOWS\ so therefore any spyware that gets into my system (thankfully none through firefox) can not open IE.
