Why? What's the point? epeen means nothing, I have dozens of children and keep a woman (well a few women) very happy indeed.

:wall:...... yet amidst your hectic family life you found time to make a TOTALLY pointless post in a thread which has no relavence to your family (or ''supposed'' women) AT ALL.

You fail to see the larger picture here. The post was worded in such a way as to demand to download and post results yet the OP failed to do that. It also sets up some sort of competition to see who may or may not have spent far too much money on computer parts. Perhaps eluding to the fact they have a larger disposable income and are great with women.

The women look after children, don't you realise that? Men just stay in overall command. My life is far from hectic, I have made enough money to not worry about such things any further.

Ah Callidus :D that made me laugh :D

You see i would download and post but with my internet it would take an age to download it, so much so that by the time i was done another thread with a newer better benchmarking system would have been posted :(

i was thinking the same thing, i will D/L it tomorrow & run the bench. :plot:

Cal..... please hold off on your results till us mere mortals have posted our mediocre results, then you can fire up your i7 monster....lol :agree:

I can never be bothered, i am happy to report that my e-peen size can reliably described as unknown :D which i say is far more impressive and mysterious than any actual value :D

Settings as per op

Min fps 23.5
Max fps 111.5
Avg fps 49.5

not impressed with it tbh, too much hdr, texture quality isn't great. it looks very dated and I think there are many better looking titles, FC2 lousy to play but sexier than this, **** COD4 which is DX9 is waaaaaaay better looking than this.

Woop! did not even see that! POWER MACHINE, its because I put all my fans on max!

On a serios note it does highlight a performance weakness in i7 but in fairness its gpu based, but my 275 is on stock.

nah not you fella the bench itself is lousy

Try Resi5

DX10

1280 x 1024

4 x AA

Motion blur enabled, everything else set to High

fps unlocked

fixed bench / not variable

I'll knock a thread up whilst you're at it

Haha callidus you just want to find a nicely threaded benchark so u can mince me. eh I would do the same, btw is that the micro atx rampage u have? if so how do u find it, I was thinking of maybe getting that when i make the i7 move soon.

Callidus
28-07-2009, 01:39 AM
Yup mate matx indeed :D and it's a stunner !

As for threaded tbh wasn't aware Resi was, just looked for something we hadn't used yet, how about Unigine Tropics and Sanctuary they aren't threaded afaik

I would like that board, although I imagine it would look quite pathetic inside a coolermaster cosmos, um might have to wait for those benchies for tmw. I haven't finished downloading resident evil 5 yet. On about 90%, mm maybe its not threaded I just presumed you would go for a floor wiper lol

Callidus
28-07-2009, 01:50 AM
There's already a thread on it here (http://forum.novatech.co.uk/showthread.php?t=11805&highlight=resident) seems as though it's not threaded, no worries about waiting on benchies fella

Can we have a higher res option? Not really a great GPU stress at such a low res.

I'll download now and upload my results tonight once I'm home. My work machine won't be able to cut the mustard, (E6550, 2GB, 512MB HD3450) I was thinking of buying Bound In Blood, can anyone recommend it?

Just ran this twice in Vista x64 q6600 (it uses almost no CPU about 25%) 4GB ram ATI 4870 at stock with all my usual stuff running in the background:

Min:18
max:111
Avg:50

With only a single monitor and everthing disabled still at stock :

min:23.5
max:116.6
avg:51.9.

going to try it in w7 now but I have to donwload it agin for reasons I wont go into. I think this is very GPU dependant.

Oh dear didnt go well in w7. Both setup's running Cat 9.7 all gubbins disabled but suffered from the annoying pauses:

Min:8.4
max:111.7
avg.51.0
