Hey scally, welcome to the forums :)
Hopefully I have this correct, you have bought a new laptop (but without a driver/audio driver CD). Are you only need the audio drivers? Is your laptop one of these?
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/dirresults.html?s=e15%20laptop&d=
In order for me to direct you to the correct drivers, I need to know what chipset/motherboard it has.
If you go to this page and download the trial of Everest Ultimate and install it. You can get it here:-
http://www.lavalys.com/products.php?ps=&page=11&dlid=3&lang=en
When you have run it, navigate to the tab on the left labelled 'Computer', then expand it and it should have an option for 'Summary'. Click that and it should bring up lots of info about your laptop. If you could post back two bits of info that are written under the title 'Motherboard',next to the header 'Motherboard Name' and 'Motherboard Chipset', it'll make finding the correct drivers much easier :)
It should look something like this:-

Edit:- I have brought this to the attention of one of the Novatech team.

Hi Happy
Thank you for replying so quick. After working through the night and scatching around my brain for computer knowledge i final worked it out. I found that when the motherboard cd booted up and you tryed to install automaticaly, it failed to install all the drivers correctly. I had to find the exe files to install. So laptop well on the way now :)
I purchased a ICON PRO, again without windows installed. This time ive deff ballsed up  :stress:some how ive managed to install window xp, when i came to defrag i noticed i have 2 volumes
1st is (c:) NTFS with 128GB with 115GB free space
2nd is (FREECOM HDD (E:) FAT32 with 466GB capacity and 466GB free space
All the files are on the 1st one and theres nothing on the 2nd. Is there anything i can do to fix this problem without reistalling everything?? or is it a total reformat job?? If so !! how do i avoid doing the same again and how do i go about resolving it????

Hi
Freecom HDD - Please forgive the question but do you have an external hard disk connected. Unless you have named one of your partitions Freecom I would say that is the drive ID of your external hard disk.

:wall::wall:
Derrrrr, am i stupid (dont answer that, i know)
Ive now taken the external hard drive off and that answers 1 stupid question, the next (not so stupid i hope) question now is, why if this Icon Pro has a 500GB hard drive, is defrag saying its only 128GB capacity?? and ive only 115GB free space???

Have a look in the BIOS and checking that 'Logical Block Addressing (LBA) 48bit addressing' has been enabled. As without this 128GB is the biggest size the OS would be able to read. What version of XP are you using, because if it's pre Service Pack One I think it won't recognise drives over 128GB as well.
I would also, reformat the drive again in NTFS, or convert your existing FAT32 drive to be NTFS.

TRy reformating it with Fat32 again ther may be some files on it that are hidden tha you do not know off, but before doing that back up all your datd on it

Iam guessing, but one of my xp discs is very old. ive backed up what ive installed too my external hard drive now and iam now going to re install my newer version of xp (with service pack 2 on) which seems to have successfully installed on the laptop (defrag showing full hard drive GBs)
All fingers crossed and brain in gear.
Many thanks and i will let you know if it works.

That sounds like it's the problem. After the install of XP with SP2 it should show the full 500GB.
Sounds like you have it under control :)
