Hiper 580W core2duo ?

Will this Hiper 580W Type R power a core2duo CPU?
with this motherboard

only i read this on another forum didnt come with a p4 to p8 connector to run core 2 duo systems

wait for someone else but i believe you only need p8 for OC and pentium D coz this draws a lot of power. thats why most motherboards have 4 pins filled. dont take my word but thats what i believe

i saw on one article that you can shove the 4 pin into the middle 4 pins of the 8 pin connector and it will work, but im not 100% sure if it will work

i think just using 4 will work (look at pic of striker as it has 4 filled in)
