I install the SATA drivers by pressing F6 to isntall additional SCSI and RAID controllers in XP setup but the disk still doesnt seem to be recognised by setup.

Gets to starting windows and then Blue screen

Stop error blaa blaa

check HDD for viruses or if its corrupt. Its brand new so?

Any ideas?

This looks to be wrong driver mate. Whats your motherboard Make and model. Please put this in your sig. Also what hard disks are you useing? SATA? PATA? SCSI? Also are you taking them off a RAID controler card or from off the motherboard RAID or what?

If you are taking SATA off you motherboard as a RAID then the drivers that you will need are on the Drivers CD that came with the motherboard. These should be located usually in the chipset Driver section of the CD. It would be under RIAD or SATA disks section. When you go into the directorys it looks like that your going to a dead end but sudenly you get a file that is the drivers for your SATA RIAD for XP.

specs of the pc are the isys pro.

Its a foxonn 946 motherboard with a 250gig SATA hdd.

I have now succesfuly installed win xp and the pc is working fine.

All I did was put an old 40gig IDE hard disk as a slave on the IDE channel with dvd drive. Tht got setup past the blue screen - i was resigned to instaling xp on ide drive but no 2 hard dsks showed up i setup xp is on the SATA one and I didnt even install drivers on that setup. wierd?

Well, some bios's have a dule BIOS, this goes though the main BIOS so basicly if its on the 2nd BIOS you can only see it via the main BIOS which XP I dont think will see.
