Novatech have not covered themselves in glory this time.
I placed an order on Tuesday. It was urgent - so when a couple of bits were marked as "out of stock", I got in touch with Sales to see when things would turn up.
these should be available both tomorrow

Anyway, yesterday afternoon, I got an email to say that things were not in stock and the expected delivery date was now the 14th of August. I replied to that, asking what was outstanding. To date, I've had no reply to that email. So after waiting a little while, I got in touch with Sales again. Coincidentally, it was the same person I spoke to on Tuesday.
Three times I told him I needed the order despatched yesterday. 3. I was incredibly clear that this was urgent.
So when was it despatched? Today.
My customer is expecting his box back tomorrow morning, and now I have to tell him he won't get it. Thanks, Novatech. If you'd told me the order wouldn't be despatched until today, I'd have gone somewhere else.
I am mighty stroppy. I understand that things go wrong, but after the number of times I'd told NT staff that this was urgent, I would have expected some communication at the very least. I even upgraded one item to make sure that I chose something that was in stock.
I wish I'd just cancelled the whole order now. I could have got it delivered today had I gone elsewhere - the prices might not have been quite so keen, but at least I'd have been able to do what my customer needed me to do. Now I'm left with a very embarrassing phone call to make. Cheers for that...
