If you're happy with the overall graphics card performance you receive from Windows Vista, but think it's time to jump on the new Windows 7 bandwagon, you can know that you're not going to be disappointed with low frame rates in the newly released operating system. http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/2869/windows_7_final_oem_vs_windows_vista_vga_performan ce/index.html

I thought it would be a nice read but actually it was boring, both operating systems perform identically, or near enough!

Would be nice to see an ATI version of the review.

My own personal testing with ATI has given very similar results.

Thanks for the summary, saves me reading :) (yep I'm lazy and just wanted the general conclusion) :)

Unlikely. It's almost the same software - certainly a near identical graphics sub-system.

But then again, I never had any performance problems with Vista (no now with W7) and it certainly renders DX10 much faster than XP.

Im not surprised it can render Dx10 faster than XP. ::op:
