I recently bought the above player, and have had a couple of problems.

Firstly, and most importantly, when I load folders onto the player they appear to copy across fine, but when I go onto the player afterwards and click on the folder it comes up with "dir empty" all my files are in the same format (MP3) so can't see any reason for this, and when I plug the player back into the computer I can see files and play them through WMP, anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

Secondly and a little more trivial, is there anyway of ordering my folders so they come up alphabetically on the player, at the moment they come up in the date modified order, even if I select the alphabetical order on the computer.

Any help is much appreciated!

Mine does the same as well but only with certain albums, the rest have gone on fine, anybody any ideas?

Thanks

How many files are you (or have you) uploaded onto it?

So far about 150 files, in 15 folders taking up around 1GB.

Are they protected with DRM? If they are then the mp3 player probably can't read them?

Not that I know of, how would I check?

Run the same files on a different computer? Sometimes they don't play because there will be no licenses.

Or look here

I'm having a similar problem, I can't play legally downloaded wma files - neither the bundled converter nor the sync on windows media player will make napster files playable - anyone know how I can convert or play these files or of a legal download site that works with this player. Thanks Brendan

I don't know this player exactly but i am also wondering if this could be DRM. If the player does not support DRM protected content then it will not be able to play them. Because the DRM thing is fairly new there are quite a few MP3 Players around that will not play content protected by it.

Only players that support DRM can play protected files as your licence files are synced to your player along with the actually music files.

What model is the player you have and i will see what information i can find out.
