I'm confused because on the Revo 420 Pro laptop the Bios seems to be missing whole sections that I'd normally expect to see. There is almost nothing in the Advanced area and other things like temperature and so are are absent. Am I missing something?

Thats nothing to do with novatech, its the motherboard manufacturem its whatever bios they use. I think its limited because the laptop doesnt have the features or are not needed? The only thing you could do is update the bios? But thats a lot of hard work!!

Thanks illusionalSin. It's not a problem, but I had just wondered if there was more that wasn't visible. I had heard that some bios setups have the more advanced stuff hidden from casual view and brought out by a key combination. I think not in this case though.

We only found out by accident that pressing enter during boot brings up a menu offering (among other things) a one off choice of boot device to save altering the boot order and putting it back again when you want to boot from CD etc

Its pretty much the same on almost every laptop, I got a packard bell laptop with exactly the same. It really does depend on the manufacture of the motherboard and also the bios company.
