Win7 XP mode install fail on Win7 Pro?

does Win7 Pro support Xp mode? i read somewhere that it does.

i downloaded "Windows6.1-KB958559-x64.msu". tried to install it. but after a while, it simply says "install failed".

does it conflict with Vmware? what other known issues are there?

What version of Win7 are you running? the beta's still have a lot of bugs which could be interferring with the install. The RTM is "available" now so XP mode should work on the pro without any issues.

win 7 pro RTM from MSDNAA.

problem has been sorted by Microsoft support. it's because of junction point i used. instead should have used unattended.xml during install.

yes it does, but your cpu has to have virtualization technology or something like that, my Q9550 does
