So, i picked up a nice tidy, reasonable spec'd lappy the other day. (I wont say the price).

Specs

Compaq Presario CQ60-100

2Ghz AMD Sempron CPU
1Gb DDR 2 RAM
8200 M GPU
120Gb HDD (Swapped for my 64Gb SSD)

now running Windows 7.

The question is, would this (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/MemoryRAM/NotebookMemory/Corsair/VS4GSDSKIT800D2.html) work with it at all? And if so, would i notice any difference in my games i actually play on it?

Reason i ask is it says this
Maximum memory
Supports up to 3 GB DDR2 memory now would that be because it comes with Vista Basic 32bit, or a physical limitation of the actual laptop?

Use crucials system scanner! But i think it's 3gb due to 32bit vista as my gf has the 17" version (70) and that bow has 4gb installed.

They ship it with basic, to keep the cost lower.

I got my mum the same more or less, and installed Win7 in it no problem.
