Red/Blue 3D? Why don't more games use this? Not as good as the £400 setup, but it works. Anyway, i just think this is them trying to shift some pre DX11 cards before they're completely redundant.

physX is definitely worth it in this game

PhysX is dying... and nVidia know it. The amount they have to pay to get game developers to use it is more than the subsequent amount they get from graphics card sales.

I dont know why you thin Physx is worth it in this game? Dynamic paper really turns you on hmm?

Im not gonna shell out more money for a an Nvidia card just to try something. I have watched a few vids of Physx in action in Batman:AA and I thought it was severely underwhelming. It looks good in Mirrors Edge, but in Batman:AA, I wouldn't miss it if I didn't know about it.

It works in Firefox for me, but by the time I realised that I actually can't be bothered to order the bits I was going to buy. Probably too late for a Saturday delivery now anyway :(

tried it and in honesty the difference is subtle, you can notice it if you look for it but tbh it isnt worth it, physx.. does naff all in reality to how physics actually work.. theyre often over accenuated and over the top, you'd think that they'd actually be able to get it right.. IMO physx is a waste of time esp more and more engines are coming with built in physics (source, unreal engine 3, cryengine 2+3) and even still games using havok vs physX the effects are just the same but havok doesnt heavily drop the FPS. not disagreeing with how physX looks and plays.. what i am saying is that it is dying because there are better and more alternatives to it and the only thing keeping it alive is fanboi ISM.. ooh look nvidia its green and black and its the best in about 15% of all games..

LOL...I think it is a message that I shouldn't buy my new core i7 system...I was all set to build it over this Bank Holiday weekend. I tried to order all the parts Thursday just before I left work so I could pick it all up, wouldn't work on IE (assumed it was works ridiculous security settings). So I headed to Nova with half hour 'til closing, did it on one of their PC's - all in the basket, go to checkout, and try to log in - keyboard doesn't work.. Gave up and headed for home to miss the Bank Hol traffic.

Tried today on my own PC - didn't work again, and as I say, by the time I realised it would work with Firefox (although maybe without the promotional offer, I can't remember), I'm now not sure if I want to bother dropping 1600 quid on a new PC :wall:

That does include a monitor and 2 x Crucial SSD's to be fair! Trying again this morning, and no go on the finalisation page again. Against my better judgement, phoned up the sales line to place the order over the phone, and I have been listening to music for 15 minutes - is this a sign I shouldn't be buying it? LOL

for me, going from medium PhysX setting to higest (the one says "recommended for gtx260 + 9800gtx) felt a lot different, the whole game immersive experience was fantastic.

well, different views to be honest. in the end, go with whatever you are happy with. i really hope physx comes out on OpenCL, so that everyone can enjoy it.

actually i think thats a pretty good idea to be able to use a 9800gtx as a physX gpu but when you consider it.. thats going back to square one with the ageia physX PPU being quite costly and pointless.... but if you have a 9800gtx lying around..
