I brought a gtx 80 which is constaly stuck charging took it to the Novatech store in Reading whom said to charge ot overnight switched off which i did and no luck. So will need to take back i guess  what i wondered is why does it have to be sent off and fixed for a few weeks and not replaced as they have the same model in stock on the wesbite as this is a brand new laptop. I only gpt tje laptop Friday throught mail order
.
Hi Amanda
If you only got the notebook on Friday then the worst that would happen is an inspection which typically takes 2-3 working days (at most) - depending on the circumstances we also would look at swapping it there and then if windows has not been registered. If it was, say, 6 months old then it might well have to be sent off - but only then if we could not repair it ourselves.
There's a couple of things you can do: take the notebook back in and explain when you *received* the notebook (invoice dates can be deceptive if the item was pre-ordered - they need to look at the despatch date instead).
Or you can PM me your order number (found on your invoice under OUR ORDER NUMBER) and I can look into this on Tuesday when I get back in.

From my experience if you take it to the Reading store, they will get it sent to the Portsmouth store the following day

Thanks for the info
Sorry for the delay, Amanda - just saw your reply. Baggpuss is correct although it is next working day (i.e. not on the weekend/bank holiday). Let me know via PM if you have any more problems getting this sorted out.

I just wanted to say all sorted and had laptop swapped and my hard drive moved to new laptop. Wanna say a big thanks to Jim Hesson at the Reading store for all his help and mike on here too. A thumbs up for Novatech after sales.
No worries - we're both glad to help :)
