Hi there. I recently purchased a barebone pack from novatech and i have a major issue with networking via cable.

The computer when i first got it and put it together worked for afew days, but then it now does not connect to the router, nor does my router detect it.

The item code is: BB-E52G31 BAREBONE E5200 2048MB 800

I have tested everything from the drivers with the CD, drivers from realtek.. all the way to testing my router and cables. But all other devices (like my laptop i am using now) work fine.

All these issues also happen on windows 7 demo i have dual installed. (just to make sure its not xp)

All i can think of is it might be a bios issue.

Information i can supply atm is:
Order ID: 4361549

Bios: Phoenix Version: 6.00 PG Date: 05/05/2009 (reported by CPU-Z)
phoenix bios id g31m04-ga.f1.p.13 (reported by bios screen)

Motherboard: g31MX
Chipset: Intel P35/G333/G31
Southbridge: 82801GB (ICH7/R)

Also the green light at the back of the NIC blinks once every second when plugged in. It does not change. Is this an error code?

Thanks for any help :)

Murat

Hi Murat

Welcome to the forums - sorry that we're a bit late in responding.

Please click on this link and follow the instructions exactly. Please pay special attention to the part which instructs you to unplug the power cable.
Although the instructions advise they are for the G43 do not work about this- follow them anyway.

Let me know if that does not work.

Hey :)
Np about waiting, i know you all got alot to do :)

Atm, i have disabled the lan via bios and stuffed in an old NIC from some ancient pc. And it seams to be fine.

I still have time before Uni kicks in again, so i will mess around with it until i can get the proper lan working

I did read this post, but i think i did not pull the power cable out, sorry ill try this again today when i get back home. Thank you :)
