Has anyone read about these new dual screen laptops, I'm not to sure what to make of these...

Meh, complete waste of money
The point of a laptop is to be portable, not bulky or heavy. If you want a large screen, get a desktop :thumbs:

Not at all.
A laptop like that would have a lot of potential uses. One use would be for live sound recording, having the arrangement page on one screen and the faders, eq's, fx etc... on the other would be hugely beneficial over a single screen.
Also, on site data gathering such as geophysics and such like, the dual screens would be ideal.
Basically anything that would benefit from having two screens but in a more portable format. Far more so than having to carry another seperate screen around with your laptop.

soon as i seen it i thought that would be great for ableton live
going to email that link to my cousin who does loads of live stuff in clubs
bet he will want one :D

The more I think about that laptop the more uses I can think off..........
i love the way it says work and sneekly watch a DVD - there is nothing sneeky about those screens!

Probably the same reason as laptops in currys dont. When its on show it could get stolen so why give the thief a battery to be able to use with his new laptop eh?
