Extending wirless range

Hi

I am currently using a BT Home Hub on 8mb Broadband. I use a notebook with a Netgear Wireless PC Card It says on the card 2.4GHz and 54 Mbps. 32 bit Cardbus WG511.

The range with this card is pretty limited and I can only use my notebook in rooms near to the router and I need to know which is the best card to use with my BT Homehub and notebook to extend the range please?

I have been looking at the RangeMax Wireless PC Card 108Mps and wonder what difference this would make.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I know in a hotel I saw once, they had them screwed on upside down to a polystyrene celing tile.

Thanks for that but my router is already placed as high as it can go.

Do you know if the RangeMax Wireless PC Card 108Mps will work with the BT Homehub or will it only work with a Rangemax Router?
