Hi
I recently bought one of these MP3 players off e-bay. It was sold as an unwanted present and looked a good buy. I've bought stuff from Novatech regularly over the past couple of years so was pretty sure I was getting a good deal. It certainly looked brand new when it arrived. I've used it for a few days but after the second battery charge, I can't get my computer to recognise it when I attach the USB cable. I've tried different ports and checked them all out and they are all fine. I've also tried it on my laptop but to no avail. Both computers are running XP with SP2. I've checked both ends of the USB cable and they look ok. It's very frustrating because until this happening it looked a decent piece of kit even if the interface is a little quirky. The annoying thing is that the USB connector that goes into the player looks like nothing I've seen before so I cannot readily lay my hands on another cable to see if that is the problem. So it's playing ok but of course the battery will soon run down and I can't add any more files to it.
Has anyone any ideas? It seems a shame to junk it but it doesn't seem to be economically viable to spend much in trying to fix it.
