Just bought a G1

I must say it's an excellent phone, productivity the apps are great I love the idea and concept however I must say the battery is extremely rubbish, only lasts 1 day so I'm really disappointed not to mention it's an 18month contract.

I've had a G1 for about 8 months mate, nice phone (love the Google Mail intergration and also the apps) but liking the look of the G2. Shame I have another 10 months :(

G1 vs G2, why did you choose the G1 out of interest?

Most of these newer phones have a poorer battery life than their predecessors unfortunately... Battery life might actually seem like it will get better though... I remember back to when I first got my iPhone - the first few days it was used literally constantly so the battery inevitably met its fate of going flat rather quickly. These days though, the iPhone still gets a lot of use (2.5hrs audio a day, half an hour youtubing, loads of texts and some calls) but i've never found myself cut short.

Try and get into the habit of charging overnight though... that way your unlikely to suffer much from a dying battery when you need it most.
