Firstly may I say how pleased I am to see a Novatech forum, just wish I knew about it before :)

I have found a possible resolution to my OEM reinstallation validation issue and will try it soon. :!:

However, my current problem is the lack of pre-installed software on the Novatech OEM XP CD. :(

I had to do a clean reinstall and subsequently lost my touchpad control. It still functions like a mouse, but I no longer have the ability to disable taps, etc.

I thought I had managed to locate the required software from Synaptic, only to have it totally lock my laptop & requiring another fresh install of xp

How/where can I get the correct touchpad software?

Thank you, thank you, installed perfectly. I wish I'd known about this forum before.

Being as that was so successful, let's try something else

I have 3 B750 chassis Novatech laptops. One of the power supplies has had the din pin plug damaged (the supply itself is fine). Unfortunately it's not a standard din plug. I have been trying for nearly a year to locate a replacement din plug :(

The response from 'aftersales' was "MOVITA have been bust and out of business for some time now which is why we cannot get spare parts". Does anyone know where I can get the din plug from? The power supply is an EDAC EA11203. I really don't want to have to buy the whole supply (£70+) when the plug should cost less than £5.

Here's hoping

http://www.laptopspares.com? or .co.uk (which ever one)

Ebay? Had another customer before with similar problem, on old laptops we dont sell or cant get parts because company gone bust.

Even if you can get one, be lots of monies (£80+)
