Problem with http

Hy all and happy new year. I have a problem, whem i connect with internet explorer 7 my browsing is very slow 5 minuts for open a html page. I dont now why i dont touch my setting is deafult with kaspersky 6.0 if disable the security service my browsing is very fast. My sistem is win xp with 1gb ram and centrino duo can help me?

Any security software you use will slow web use as it checks everything going in and out. I would advise you try a variety of different security programs to see which one reduces your systems performance the least.

i use AVG free,it works and doesnt slow my computer down at all
and has regular updates

i never got norton or any other security package where you have to pay for it, because in my mates experiences, they dont work at all

just got this 90 day trial of windows live onecare which i think is quite good it uses up some cpu power tho so i'd only reccomend it for dual cores but it does everythin it speeds up ur computer (scheduled defrags etc) and schedules proper backups

filseclab is a free firewall that doesnt slow down tinterweb, but might find it takes a little cpu, norton is a resource hog, good at blocking everything but yea pretty much thats all it does.
