Hello chaps can I put the intel 6600 chip on a mobo that max is 800mhz just until I can get my hands on a striker extreme? My 1st guess is yes but it will only run at 800mhz but I'd thought I'd run it past you lot 1st.

no its fsb speed of the cpu 800mhz!! it's a foxconn 915mo7 but it says it only supports cpu fsb up 2 800 mhz.

Looks like a good mobo looking forward to them coming in if that ever happens he he! they seem to be taking their time! Just itching to upgrade so thought the cpu might still work but just run at the mobo max speed rather than the 1066mhz.
