If you have recently purchased a new motherboard bundle or barebones and are bringing across your old hard drive, you might find errors occuring on your first boot up. If you get Blue screen errors or Windows simply doesnt appear to behave, there is a good reason.
Windows logs the CHIPSET and drivers of the motherboard it was installed on and after that it doesn't automatically realign to the specifications of the new setup. If you have troubles, you may be forced to reinstall Windows from scratch.
If you have data you need off the drive, Novatech recommend using an external hard drive enclosure that will allow you to connect the hard drive to another machine and rescue your data, after which you can reinstall Windows.
