I have had a issue for a while where my Laptop seem to have power issues.

At first my Battery died so i had to use the Power Lead all the time to work, If i removed the Power Lead the Laptop just died.
Recently my Laptop screen started to go off or dark but after playing with the power connection the image reappeared. I could see the image in the darkness of the screen so the screen was on but just black.

Now the computer dies on boot.... Just turns off !!!!!

It was at first when it was loading windows, Now it has got shorter and shorter with me turning it on and it just turning off. Now even the Orange light to say Mains Power is connected doesn't light.

I wanted to try and remove the Battery and run purely from the Mains to test Battery but i dunno how to take the Laptop apart.

Any ideas ?????

Please Help !!!!!!

Manged to remove the Battery which seems to have solved the power issue slightly.

Laptop now seems to boot and lasts anything from 20 mins to a Hour, However the settings have all been set to defaults and my firewall (Zonealarm) settings have all been deleted.

Still baffled.....

I have another Friend who has a Laptop from Novatech too, His Laptop is having identical issues. Just Powering off whenever and whatever your doing.

The Laptop was sent back to Novatech and they have not fixed it. Wondered if anyone knew what the issue was and why its sprecific to Novetech Laptops ?
