At power-on the bios comes up, and just freezes at

Pri Master: FUJITSU MHV2120BH 00000029
Ultra DMA Mode-5, S.M.A.R.T. Capable and Status OK

I CANNOT enter bios setup, and can't boot from CDROM (or network, usb)

What may have caused it
- Just before the problem happened, I booted into a Windows XP CDROM and deleted a partition
- a COUPLE of reboots before, I changed some BIOS settings (I only turned on power saving mode thing..)

The whole story
- I installed windows vista the other day
- I resized the single partition (using the built in vista thing)
- I created a new partition
- I tried installing windows xp on the new partition
- Bios was normal, except it came up with an error saying it couldn't boot
- I booted into vista cd, tried startup repair, it failed
- I booted into XP cd, but it asked for an admin password, which I hadn't set one because XP wasn't yet setup
- I booted into XP cd, went to the part where it manages the partitions, I deleted the new partition and restarted.
- The bios locked up, cant access setup or boot anything

Any help? Is there like a CMOS battery I can take out to reset BIOS or something? If so, is it in a part I can unscrew without voiding any care pack things?

update: I can enter bios setup with the HDD unplugged.

Is my HDD screwed or is it possible for me to format totally somehow?

um did your motherboard come with a manual or do you know which one it is. If you do you could find the bios reset jumper and reset it

Sadly, the solution wont be that simple, now that I know that BIOS is fine, it's the HDD causing the problem with the bios POST, although it's not actually saying so...
