How are you connecting it? thru component or VGA? If you have only tried one method, can you get hold of the other lead from a friend and try it? I personally don't own an xbox 360, but my nephew uses his thru' a pc monitor via vga and is impressed.

Hi thanks for reply...... I am using component cable that came with console..... I have just noticed that the yellow plug is plugged into a different block (av composite)....... does this plug actually get used at all. not been able to test it out since cause my son has taken console to his m8's.

The yellow plug is used for composite video, not sure why that is connected. There should be 5 plugs: red, green and blue component video and the two audio plugs (red and white).
Possible that the composite video plug is interfering so is worth unplugging and trying that first.
My brother said his tv (LG) displayed a message stating the optimum resolution to set the xbox output, but he isn't sure if the xbox or the tv generated the message.
Any problems then post here and if an xbox owner with your tv can't help, then i'll quiz my brother a bit more. (he owes me...just given him a Novatech router I had lying around!!)

I use the Xbox 360 with the component leads, i have mine set to 1080i because i find the image slightly sharper than 720p. DO NOT plug the yellow composite lead in and make sure the switch on the lead is set to HD.

I use the component leads for my XBox 360 on my 42" Atec LCD and have to say that the picture quality is fantastic!
