Hard Drive Not Recognised

It recognises it in device manager

Carry on, ive always connected drives, and formatted them through my computer....

Control Panel > Administrative Tool > Computer Management

In the console tree, click Computer Management (Local), click Storage, and then click Disk Management.
Right-click the disk you want to initialize, and then click Initialize Disk.

Then you will be able to format the disk

Carry on, ive always connected drives, and formatted them through my computer....


well no you haven't, all new drives never show in my computer as the are new they wont have any partitions

you have to initialize and partition and format the drive before they show in my computer.
