Hi Guys,
I have a Athlon 7750BE at 3.1ghz from 2.7 and a xfx 8300 am2+ motherboard with dual bios.
Lately i have been using the sleep function in windows 7 to save time basicly but what i have found is that when the pc is resumed from sleep it is switching from my bios settings to the second "failsafe" bios in which case everything is put back to stock. Once i restart the pc it loads up my settings again and the pc is back to how it should be with the cpu at 3.1 and not 2.7
Has anyone any idea why it would be doing this? Is there any way of disabling the second bios as so it has no choice but to use mine?

Thanks :)

I'm having an issue within 7 where if I hit the sleep key on keyboard it 'shutdowns' my computer and I have to turn the ****** thing off wait a few minutes and then turn it back on. It's not strictly related to your problem but my colleague that has an AMD based rig has the same issue as mine.

I think 7 has a little teething problem with sleep - what S state have you got yours set to in the BIOS?

Have you tried in another OS? It could be a BIOS problem, have you got the latest BIOS for your board? Have you checked the support forums for your board?

Erm, yes XP does. It calls it "Standby".
