Buying a new laptop soon - must we have Vista?

I'm intending to buy a new laptop within the next few months (dependent on receiving an insurance payout so can't say exactly when), but will I have to get one with Vista as the OS, or will they still be offered with XP for a while, which is want I'd want?

Basically, if I'm 'forced' to have Vista, I'd not buy it.

you will be able to buy a laptop with no preinstalled OS on it and you can then buy the XP operating seperately and load it on yourself
