Novatech 8599 BIOS update

Hi,

I want to update the BIOS on my Novatech 8599 (Mitac) laptop.

I downloaded the latest BIOS (R106_99.BIN) and the FLASHIT.EXE file. I put them on a bootable disk and once restarted I typed the command:

FLASHIT.EXE R106_99.BIN

The FLASHIT program started at said it was reading in the BIOS file, but after one hour nothing else had happened.

Do you know what I am doing wrong?

What device are you attempting to flash from??

That command line should work for flashing with this BIOS.
