Got my Buffaloes and a new E5400 CPU and Antec 380W power supply for the mATX build. But I'm most pleased with the micro-SD 4GB card complete with SD adaptor (RAM-MSD/4G). Should get a lot of albums on my phone now. :p

Why is what people have done now that DDR2 is all but obsolete is not just increase the price of DDR2 but increase the price of DDR3 too? I remember when you could pick up 4GB DDR3 for £60 and it looked set to take the place of DDR2 when the time was right, what the **** happened?

Hi there

Yes it sure would be m8. :)

Thanks Gibbo, will order immediately. I did ask on the Chat Line, but the operative was not too sure. Said the LC timing was different, something I'm not clued up on.

Ooops! My mistake, found a different price, then grey cells started working, and realised your post referred to last month, my error!

Also every year around this time the prices will increase to the run up to the Christmas period, wont drop till at least January again supply & demand. :(

Even if they do drop we'll probably be paying about the same price, due to the VAT increase.

Hi there

Do you get any audible beeps coming from the system? If your getting a constant BEEEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEP

That means the RAM is faulty.

If you get nothing then it could be down to your motherboard not supporting that RAM possibly.

mr. Strawberry
09-10-2009, 03:31 PM
i get loads of short beeps

GIBBO

Hi there

Yep that is faulty memory then m8.

Sends to me you got a faulty module or your board does not support it.

If you can get it tested in another PC/Motherboard or if not arrange an RMA for full credit or swap out by posting in customer service section.

mr. Strawberry

Is it Novatech-brand RAM, Steven and Gibbo? I'm sorry but honestly, that stuff is rubbish. Everytime I've bought the Nova stuff it simply hasn't worked and I've either had to send it back or trade it (shop round the corner to me are quite good for that).

So what's going on, Nova?
